Knocknamuckley’s Thomas Adamson, serving as Christian Union President at QUB

This year’s President of the Christian Union at Queen’s University Belfast is 21 year old Thomas Adamson, a parishioner of Knocknamuckley in Dromore Diocese.

Thomas, who is studying for a Masters in Structural Engineering with Architecture, asks us to pray for the work of the CU at Queen’s and we also want to uphold him as he assumes this important role.

He writes:

Hello my brothers and sisters in Christ

My name is Thomas Adamson and I am a worshipping member of Knocknamuckley Parish Church. I have grown up in Knocknamuckley, through the Sunday school, Bible Class, Youth Fellowship, Boys Brigade etc. I have spent time serving in the Church as a Youth Fellowship leader, Sunday school teacher and Boys Brigade officer.

This year I am serving as the President of the Christian Union at Queen’s University Belfast. For any of you who are unfamiliar with what this is, we are a Christian student society that are seeking to be a mission team on campus. We strive to share our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ with the friends, classmates and strangers we are surrounded by every day.

When faced with the prospect of death if he didn’t reveal and interpret king Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, Daniel went to his friends and urged then to plead to the Lord for mercy so that he would be equipped to carry out the king’s request. I likewise am doing the same with you, my church family, the diocese of Down and Dromore. Can you please support the CU in prayer, so that people will come and give their lives over to God by accepting him as their Lord and saviour?

Thank you
Thomas
