Pray for our schools

There are 30,000 schools in the UK, and Pray for Schools’ vision is to see every single one of them supported by regular Christian prayer.

Pray for Schools is not an organisation to ‘join’, but a network that exists simply to encourage prayer for schools in partnership with prayer groups, churches and Christian organisations. With prayer the combined efforts of Christian teachers, parents, governors, school board members and many others will become more effective.

You can participate through starting a group to pray regularly for your local school; having schools prayer as a focus for your church or praying as an individual for a school near you.

Northern Ireland

Heather Wallace is the coordinator for Pray for Schools in Northern Ireland. Partners here include, CARE, Crown Jesus, Urban Saints, Scripture Union, Youth for Christ, 24/7 Prayer Ireland and the churches.

There are 1, 187 schools in Northern Ireland (DENI 2014), and while we already have a small number being prayed for, Pray for Schools vision is to see each one of them supported in this way.
