Via Wings staff survive their sleepout and raise almost £2000 so far
Congratulations to some of the staff from Via Wings staff who have just had a cold but hugely successful 12 hour sleepout (read the story here).
The aim was to highlight the plight of the ‘homeless within 4 walls’ and raise funds for the Via Wings home refurbishment team. The team works to transform houses into homes and supply comforts that most of us would take for granted.
A quick update…
“What a night! We had such a great night with so much support from the community! Thank you to everyone who brought us food, clothing, money or just came down and gave us some craic!
“We have a van full of stuff to take to Belfast and have so far raised a whopping £1920!!!!
“Now we’re lucky enough to get to go home to nice warm houses and thaw out!
“Donations can still be made through Just Giving.“
