Farewell Mama Eunice
Our dear friend Mama Eunice Morona, the widow of Rt Revd Joseph Morona, Archbishop of the Episcopal Church of Sudan, died last night (1 February) and will be buried in Maridi today.
Archbishop Marona was a former Bishop of our link Diocese of Maridi and was instrumental in forging the link with Down and Dromore. Read Bishop Harold’s tribute to the Archbishop here.
Jane Corbett met Mama Eunice on several occasions and she and Nina Coffey were able to visit her on their recent trip. She said:
“I am so grateful that Nina and I were able to visit Mama Eunice while we were in Maridi just a few weeks ago. She was very ill, but we were able to bring greetings from everyone and spend a little time with her.”
