Bible reading guides for 2016, free to your church
Recently, a local woman professed faith for the first time in her church. When asked what had prompted her to make the decision, she replied that she had been given a copy of the BSNI Bible reading guide for 2015. That had spurred her to begin reading the Bible on a daily basis…and to find the call of Jesus on her life.
If you would like copies of the 2016 edition to give out with your January news sheet, or at a Christmas service or simply to place at the church entrance, ring the Bible Society NI at (028) 9032 6577 with the number you require and we will have them ready to collect. These are the Society’s gift to you on the basis of ‘no postage, no charge’ and they offer 365 daily readings.
While BSNI has continued to translate, print and distribute Bibles in over 50 countries this year, here in Northern Ireland we need to find every opportunity to encourage people to spend a little time each day with Scripture. Although our YouVersion App has now provided over 200 million downloads of Scripture for phones and tablets, not everyone has access to a reading plan.
Bible House is open for collecting these guides from 8.15 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday (including lunch time). Several churches have already collected theirs, but if you want to place an order by email, you can get in touch with John Doherty: gsec@bsni.co.uk
