Vacancy for a Vicar, Holywood
The Parish of Holywood in the Church of Ireland Diocese of Down and Dromore, intends to appoint a VICAR.
Enquiries are invited from those comfortable with both traditional and contemporary forms of worship and who will:
- Share our concern to relate Jesus Christ to today’s youth;
- Preach and teach the Bible so that many will believe it, obey it and live out the truth it reveals in our world;
- Offer attentive pastoral care across all stages of life, relating easily to all in times of strain and struggle;
- Plan and prepare for Sunday worship, sure of its potential to challenge and energise the church family in our congregational life and community outreach;
- Have a heart for outreach and evangelism;
- Give supportive leadership to our part–time staff and many committed volunteers.
Holywood is a vibrant and attractive middle sized town, close to Belfast but with its own distinct identity.
