Singers unite for Choral Evensong at St Mark’s Dundela

St Mark’s, Dundela will be joined by other choirs and singers as they host two services of Choral Evensong in the next week.

On Sunday 8 March at 6.30 pm, St Mark’s Choir, directed by Peter Hunter, will be joined by the Choir of St Gall’s Carnalea under the direction of Mrs Rosemary Smyth.  The two choirs have already collaborated recently, as part of a massed choir in St Gall’s in November for a RSCM Service at which members of both Parishes were presented with RSCM awards by Bishop Harold.

On Tuesday 10 March at 8.00 pm, St Mark’s Choir will again be joined by friends from other choirs across from local churches for a Service of Choral Evensong followed by a short Lenten Recital. The proceeds from this service will be in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The Revd Adrian Dorrian, Rector of St Mark’s, said: ‘Evensong is an important part of our repertoire of services in St Mark’s and we are delighted to welcome friends in both as members of the choir and hopefully in the congregation too. I hope many people will come and join us.’
