New Canon for Down Cathedral
Bishop Harold has announced the new canon for Down Cathedral as Revd Mark Harvey, rector of Ballybeen and Clerical Honorary Secretary for the Diocese of Down.
Mark, who will have served in Ballybeen for 10 years this year said:
“I’m delighted to accept Bishop Harold’s invitation to become a canon of Down Cathedral. It’s a real privilege to be joining the Chapter at such an exciting time in the history of our diocese in this Year of Mission. I think it’s also a recognition for the Parishioners of St Mary’s who have faithfully lived out the gospel in the heart of Ballybeen for the past 50 years!”
The new canon will take the seat vacated by Revd Canon Francey McCrea who has just retired.
