St John’s Moira serve up at the switch–on

Members of St John’s Parish Church provided seasonal refreshments for the many people who attended the switch–on of the Christmas tree lights in Moira on Thursday 11 December.

Before the arrival of Santa and the official switch–on by the Deputy Mayor of Lisburn, Councillor Thomas Beckett, a choir from Moira Primary School and Rowandale Primary School sang some Christmas carols.

Following the switch–on, people who had packed the centre of the village then packed the nearby St John’s Parish Centre where they enjoyed tea/coffee, mince pies and shortbread.
